200 EU Scholarships for Turkish Cypriots

The European Commission has launched the EU Scholarships III Programme on 11 November 2008 offering 200 scholarships for Turkish Cypriots for the academic year 2009/10.
A final Information seminar will take place on Friday, 30th January 2009 at the EU Programme Support Office, 38-44 Girne cad. Nicosia, at 17.00 hrs, where participants will have the opportunity to put their questions directly to representatives of the European Commission.
All Turkish Cypriot University Students and Graduates as well as their parents are invited to attend the seminar.
Scholarships will be available both for undergraduate and for postgraduate studies (e.g. Masters, PhD studies). Studying at any undergraduate or postgraduate programme in any University of another Member State (26 Countries) is possible within the framework of this programme.
The EU Scholarships III Programme gives Turkish Cypriot University students, graduates and teachers the chance to improve thir skills and knowledge and to experience life in a different country and culture in the EU.

The deadline for submission of applications is 25 February 2009, 18:00 Cyprus time. Potential applicants must submit their questions and requests for clarification to the European Commission at the latest on 4th February 2009. Answers to these questions will be made available on our website in due time before the deadline for submission of applications.
