Outbound tourism is still booming in Cyprus according to the latest results of the Passengers Survey.
The survey reported that 74,080 residents of Cyprus returned from a trip abroad in November 2008, compared with 67,999 in the corresponding month of 2008, thus recording an increase of 8.9%.
The weak pound made the UK a popular destination. In November 2008 there was an increase of 15.7% in trips to the United Kingdom (from 12,917 to 14,947 this year), while there was a 3.2% rise in the number of trips of residents to Greece (from 26,724 in November 2007 to 27,587 in November 2008).
