Suez Environnement in dual listing on Euronext Paris and Brussels

Suez Environnement, a global leader in water and waste businesses, celebrated its listing and first day of trading Tuesday on two of NYSE Euronext's European markets: Paris and Brussels, following its spin-off as part of the GDF Suez merger.
It will trade under the ticker symbol " SEV " for Paris and " SEVB " for Brussels.
A total of 489,699,060 shares of the company were admitted to trading on Euronext Paris and Euronext Brussels, at an opening price of €17 per share, making it the 43rd listing on NYSE Euronext's European markets and the 15th on Euronext since the beginning of this year. It also enhances Euronext’s position in the Cleantech sector.
Clean Technology, or Cleantech, refers to any products, services or process that optimize the use of natural resources while reducing environmental impact.
Cleantech mainly covers four sectors: energy, transportation, water and materials. It comprises a wide range of sectors and industries (from solar power systems to sugar cane-based polyethylene).
NYSE Euronext is a leader in the Cleantech sector. NYSE lists numerous Cleantech companies such as Suntech Power Holdings Co, Ltd.; Waste Management Inc. or Veolia Environnement, a dual listing with Euronext Paris, etc.
On NYSE Euronext European markets, there are 48 listed Cleantech companies (17 on Euronext, 8 on Alternext and 23 on the Free Market), representing an approximate total market capitalization of €39 billion. These include companies such as EDF Energies Nouvelles, Sechilienne-Sidec, Theolia, Aurea, 4Energy Invest, Air Energy, Vergnet, H2O Innovation, etc.
Earlier this year EDP Renovaveis (renewable energy) listed on Euronext Lisbon with a market capitalization of €8 billion.
Suez Environnement supplies drinking water to 68 mln people, provides wastewater treatment services for 44 mln people and collects the waste produced by 46 mln people. It has 62,000 employees and is the world's number one group exclusively dedicated to environmental services achieving a sales turnover of 12 bln euros in 2007.
