We don’t wanna talk

About election promises –

There’s other hot potatoes

You did not relate to us.

So we’d like to know

Any more to say?

Some things won’t go away

 

Winner, take it all

Real problems still to meet

Is victory so sweet?

 

Things we have in mind:

Tourism on the slide

Why are we so pricey

When the product’s dicey?

And we wondered too

If you are satisfied

How our banks have lent

To fund development?

 

The Social Insurance Fund

However will it stack up?

Pensioners aplenty

No-one in their twenties.

So why throw out illegals?

The system might just pack up

Without their casual labour –

Aren’t they doing us a favour?

 

Let’s talk environmental

Do we no longer care

So many roads being planned

No tram or bus to hand?

Where’s water for our farmers?

Rationing’s no scare

Problems on your plate

You know it’s getting late.

 

So winner, take it all

(The loser took a fall)

More problems you will meet

Seems victory so sweet?
