PARIS, (Reuters) – One in two flights to Orly airport south of Paris was cancelled on Monday due to a strike by some air-traffic controllers, France‘s civil aviation authority (DGAC) said.

A DGAC spokeswoman said the strike also caused “some delays but no cancellations” at the larger Charles de Gaulle airport, north of the French capital, which is home to Air France.

Both airports are owned and operated by Aeroports de Paris.

Unions are protesting against plans to reorganise air-traffic control around Paris. One union cancelled plans to strike on Monday but further disruption is possible later this week.
