CyTA launches pilot broadband telephony

CyTA has launched a pilot programme offering broadband telephony to limited number of home users who are existing i-Choice subscribers.

The new service allows up to four additional telephone numbers using the Internet IP protocol for a range of devices including analogue phones (DECT), IP phones and videophones, WiFi phones and PCs.

The commercial use of the new platform is expected to be introduced “within the next few months”, according to CyTA.

Cytamobile-Vodafone has informed soeasy customers that the amounts of money that they can transfer from their soeasy account to other soeasy accounts have changed.

The new amounts are €2(£1,17), €3(£1,76) and €5(£2,93) which are the closest to the previous amounts of money in Cyprus Pounds, which were  £1(€1,71), £2(€3,42) and £3(€5,13).

The Money Transfer service is offered free of charge and allows soeasy customers to directly transfer money from their own soeasy account to other soeasy accounts.

The money can be transferred by simply dialing on the mobile the short code  #105#.  After that, the customer chooses the amount of money to be transferred (€2, €3 or €5) and dials the soeasy number where the money should be transferred to. Having completed the process, both the sender and the receiver of the amount transferred, receive an SMS message confirming that the transfer has been completed.
