Cyprus Foreign Minister in Kuwait

Cyprus Foreign Minister Erato Kozakou-Marcoullis is conclusing her Middle East tour with an official visit to Kuwait this week.

Mrs Marcoullis is in Kuwait from 13-15 January and will have a meeting with her counterpart Sheikh Mohammad al-Sabah al-Salem al Sabah. She will also be received by the Emir, Sheikh Sabah al-Ahmad al-Jaber al-Sabah and the Prime Minister, Sheikh Nasser al-Mohammad al-Ahmad al-Sabah. Mrs Marcoullis will also have a meeting with the Speaker of the Parliament of Kuwait, Jassem Al-Khorafi.

The promotion of bilateral relations and the cooperation between the two countries in international organizations are among the issues that the Minister will discuss during her contacts in Kuwait. The Cyprus problem and issues concerning the Organization of the Islamic Conference will also be discussed.

The European Union’s relations with the Gulf Cooperation Council and the Arab League, as well as regional issues, will also be the object of discussion.

The Foreign Minister returns to Cyprus on Tuesday.
