Cyprus retail sales up 7.7% y/y in October

The turnover volume index of retail trade rose by 7.7% over the same month of 2006 in October according to preliminary figures, having risen by 4.6% in September. Compared with the previous month, the index rose by 3.6% to 141.5 in October and fell by 3.7% to 136.6 in September.

According to the provisional data for October, retail sales volumes rose by 7.5% in January-October 2007 compared with the corresponding period of 2006.

In value terms, the turnover value index of retail trade for the period January-October rose by 10.5% (provisional) compared to the corresponding period of 2006.
