Geong International Limited, the AIM-listed, China based provider of enterprise content management (ECM) software and solutions, today announces that it has signed a bundling agreement with IBM China to provide Geong’s SmartExpress product with IBM’s PC Server.

SmartExpress is the entry level product of the SmartBoxTM product family and is aimed at very small businesses (VSBs). Through Geong’s 3-year “Loyalty Programme” for SmartExpress, VSBs pay a minimal initial fee per user in the first year and then pay double that amount for the second and third year. The aim of this programme is to allow quick penetration into the VSB market by providing a low cost, basic, ECM solution, which can be upgraded or added to at a later date.

The one year agreement with IBM means that Geong’s SmartExpress product will be included with the IBM PC Server and, after installation, can be activated on line or through one of 1,000 IBM PC Server resellers across China. In addition, Geong and its resellers will provide training and support if required.

“The bundling of our SmartExpress product with IBM’s PC Server illustrates the increasing acceptance of SmartExpress as an ECM solution for very small businesses,” said Wang Weidong, Chief Executive of Geong.

“This agreement provides us with exposure to a large potential market which we hope we will be able to capitalise on in the future.”
