At a time when the yellow Euro-bus campaign is strolling from village to village, or when Marfin Laiki prefers to use the lepta instead of the official cents, Hellenic Bank has shown that is has truly grasped the concerns of the public and has produced (once again) another practical information booklet on the euro.

Shortly after publishing the third edition of the successful “Learn about the Euro” series of children’s educational booklets, that include a ruler that easily switches from the euro to the Cyprus pound and back, Hellenic Bank has come up with a 12-page English-language simple guide to using the euro.

The disadvantage of all the gimmicks that companies have issued so far is that they use the euro as the basis currency, while the Hellenic’s booklets use both the single euro and the single CYP in separate comparison tables.

The booklet contains 33 how’s, what’s, when’s and why’s and tries to answer simple every-day questions, which we would have expected the government’s long-delayed campaign to do.

What’s more, the booklet even gives some basic tips such as “start memorizing some typical prices” in order for consumers to familiarise themselves with the double prices they are already seeing on supermarket shelves.

The booklet is available from most branches as well as in downloadable PDF format at www.hellenicbank.com . The website also includes a “3-D readable” version where you can flip the pages online.
