Chairman to give awards to ‘best insurers’ of Europe

Interlife Insurance Company is hosting the first European insurance conference in Paphos this week for the ten European members of the Eureko BV Group, a Top 20 European insurer.

More than 350 delegates from the member companies are taking part in the three-day conference that will culminate on Friday with the presentation of the ‘best insurer’ awards to each company to be handed by the President of Eureko BV, Maarten Dijkshoorn.

The host of the event, Interlife CEO Michalis Michaelides, told the Financial Mirror that “this is the greatest honour and the biggest event for our company ever since it became a member of the Eureko Group in 2003.”

Senior executives from the Group and other insurance experts will address the conference where new strategies, services and products will be discussed.

This is the second time that the Eureko president is visiting Cyprus this year.

In June Maarten Dijkshoorn visited the head offices of its subsidiary insurance company in Nicosia, InterLife.

Dijkshoorn’s two-day visit was part of a corporate road show to call on all Eureko Group companies outside the Netherlands.

During his visit to Cyprus, he had the opportunity to discuss with local management the challenges and development opportunities present in the Cyprus insurance market.
