Wholesale trade up 7.7% by value in H1

Auto sector up by 14.1%

The turnover value index of wholesale trade and commission trade for June 2007 in Cyprus decreased by 1.6% to 170.6 compared with 173.3 in May 2007.
However, for the period January-June 2007 the index recorded an increase of 7.7% compared with the corresponding period of 2006.

Meanwhile, the turnover value index representing the sale and repair of motor vehicles and retail sales of automotive fuel increased by 1.6% in June to 188.6 compared with 185.7 in May 2007.
For the period January-June 2007 the Index recorded an increase of 14.1% compared with the corresponding period of 2006.
