Panasonic has launched its new range of full-HD plasma and LCD TVs from the Viera series, in the Middle East. The new line-up includes 65-inch (TH-65PY700), 58-inch (TH-58PY700E), 50-inch (TH-50PY700), and 42-inch (TH-42PY700) plasma TVs and a 37-inch (TX-37LX75) LCD TV.

The latest models feature higher-quality reproduction of fast action scenes and render brilliant images with outstanding precision and natural, vivid colours. The arrival of V-Real Pro II signal processing and a new digital optimiser reflects the high level of technology in the new series, and brings them to the forefront of high-definition entertainment.

“The demand for plasma and LCD full-HD TVs has been rising steadily in the region, as consumers are keen on enjoying their favourite movies and sports action on a large screen that offers excellent image quality, colour and texture,” said Shimpei Tsujigami, Product Manager, Panasonic Marketing Middle East.

The new Viera models offer the easy operation of Viera Link, a feature that lets users operate interconnected AV equipment, linked via HDMI cables, using only the Viera TV’s remote control unit. Networking is also easier in the new models as they are equipped with a slot for large-capacity SDHC cards. The user can simply remove the card from a digital still camera and slip it into the slot to view a photo slide show on Viera’s large screen.

Some of the advanced image technologies that are featured in Panasonic’s plasma display panels include, 1080p digital processing chip-set, 1080p digital re-mastering processor, Real Black Drive System and Deep Black Filter, anti-glare filter, digital optimiser, motion pattern noise reduction, advanced 3D colour management and sub- pixel controller.

Panasonic has also incorporated the V-Real technology in its 37” high definition LCD TVs, which also feature IPS panels, to ensure excellent viewing from any angle. Viera models further incorporate technologies that solve a number of problems that are common to conventional LCD TVs. The Intelligent Scene Controller for instance reproduces vivid, natural images with pure blacks, giving viewers beautiful, vibrant images with superb clarity and depth. Like the plasma models, the LCD TVs are also equipped with features like the Viera Link, HDMI input and the SDHC card slot.
