Universal Bank appoints new board members

Universal Bank Pcl (USB) has appointed Demetris Ioannides and as new Board member with effect from August 23, 2007 and Christakis Clerides as Senior Independent Board member with immediate effect. 

Demetris Ioannides established Deloitte & Touche in Cyprus, where he worked until 2005 as a Managing Associate and later as Executive Chairman.  He is currently the Honourary Chairman and Fonder of Deloitte & Touche in Cyprus.  In 2005, he became a Chairman and Managing Associate in Meritservus, which is actively involved in the sector of accounting, financial and consulting services.
