Airplane, cargo traffic up at Cyprus airports in June

An increase in airplane and cargo traffic was recorded in June, compared to the same month last year, at the airports of Larnaca and Paphos, showing a turnaround from lower-than-expected data in the previous months of the year.
Regarding the traffic of passengers, there was a rise in Larnaca and a drop in Paphos.
According to Department of Civil Aviation statistical data, during June there was a 5.9% rise in aircraft traffic, 4.1% in passenger traffic and 11.5% in cargo traffic at Larnaca Airport.
A Ministry of Communications and Works press release says that for Paphos Airport the figures showed a 1.0% increase in aircraft traffic and 132.4% in cargo traffic, while the traffic of passengers dropped by 3.0%.
