Industrial turnover up 8.3% in January-April

The industrial turnover index (covering mining and quarrying; manufacturing; and electricity, gas and water supply) for April 2007 reached 125.2 (base 2000=100).

For April 2007 the index recorded an increase of 6,6% compared with April 2006.

For the period January-April 2007 the index recorded an increase of 8.3% compared to the same period of the previous year.

For manufacturing, the index for April 2007 reached 123.2, recording an increase of 7.7% compared with April 2006.
