Social networking site MySpace, extremely popular among youth and amateur users, has reached 70 mln active monthly unique users, with one in four Americans using the site, according to comScore MediaMetrix.

ComScore’s new data shows that the site gained 2 bln page views from May to June with users spending triple the time on MySpace than any of its rivals and the average time spent at more than two hundred minutes.

Meanwhile, MySpace UK broke past the 10 mln active user mark, meaning that approximately one in six people in Britain are on this site.

MySpace has said that the growth is due to the recent global launch of MySpaceTV and explosive video growth driven by user interface changes and dozens of industry content partnerships.
