BullGuard, specialists in user-friendly PC and mobile security solutions, submitted its BullGuard Internet Security product for the prestigious Virus Bulletin 100 test for the first time this year and passed with flying colours.

Products can only pass the test if they detect all active viruses at the time of testing, so-called in-the-wild viruses. Additionally, the product may not generate any false positives when scanning a set of clean files. False positives are cases when a file is identified as malware, but it is in fact harmless.

BullGuard Internet Security 7.0 did all this and also impressed reviewers with its ‘slick and professional design’ and ‘friendly language’ along the way.

“This is a great success for BullGuard,” said Theis Søndergaard, co-founder and CTO at BullGuard from the company headquarters in Copenhagen, Denmark.

“The Virus Bulletin 100 test is widely recognized within the industry as the toughest and most prestigious test for antivirus products. To pass it at our first attempt is simply fantastic, especially given the fact that some respected competitors failed. This only reinforces the confidence we have in our products and motivates us to keep developing and pushing further all the time”.
