Bishop of Tamassos and Orinis enthroned

Bishop of Tamassos and Orinis Isaias was enthroned Monday, during a ceremony held in Byzantine splendour and officiated by Archbishop of Cyprus II.

Speaking during the enthronement, Archbishop of Cyprus expressed the belief that Bishop of Tamassos and Orinis will fully respond to his high duties and will vindicate both the expectations of the Church and of his congregation.

He called on the new Bishop to take care of the souls of his congregation and keep their faith for the vindication of the Cyprus people visions and longings alive.

Bishop of Tamassos and Orinis said that the fact that during such an important and historically crucial turning point for the Cyprus Church, the Holy Synod is welcoming him one of his new members with love and trust means that it has faith in him.

He expressed the wish that his activities within the Holy Synod will benefit the unity and progress of the hierarchy of the Church and wished that God will make it possible for him not to betray the trust which the members of the Holy Synod have shown him and help him to stand by them as a useful partner and trustful fellow-traveler.
