Cyprus construction prices pick up

Prices of construction materials in Cyprus picked up in April, as the price index of construction materials for April 2007 rose by 1.02% to 137.53 (base 2000=100.00), compared with a rise of 0.76% in March.

Month-on-month inflation in these prices has been rising all year, starting at less than 0.1% in January.

For the period January-April 2007, the index recorded an increase of 4.5% over the corresponding period of the previous year, compared with 5% for the whole of 2006..
