Demetra replaces Options in FTSE/CySE20 index

Demetra Investments (DEM), Cyprus’ largest investment company with over EUR 250 mln in assets has entered the FTSE/CySE20 index with a ratio of 1, the highest until recently enjoyed only by Bank of Cyprus.

The evaluation committee reached the decision after a review of the performance from October 4 until March 30, 2007. Options Cassoulides Pcl (OPT) will exit out of the FTSE/CySE20 index. The changes are effective from June 1, 2007.

Ocean Tankers and White Knight meanwhile moved to the top 2 spots of the Reserve List, ready to enter the FTSE/CySE20 index in the event that an existing company loses its place.

The 20 companies making up the FTSE/CySE20 index are: Bank of Cyprus, Marfin Popular Bank, Hellenic Bank, Louis Pcl, Demetra Investments, Pandora Investments, Vassiliko Cement, Muskita Alumnium, Cyprus Trading Corp., A. Tsokkos Hotels, Woolworth (Cyprus) Properties, Laiki Investments, Logicom, Lanitis Development, SFS Group, Petrolina, Orphanides, KEO, Atlantic Insurance and A. Zorbas & Sons.

The five companies in the Reserve List are: Ocean Tankers, White Knight, Cyprus Cement, Interfund and Athena Cyprus Investments.
