Cyprus industrial output prices up 2.9% in Jan-Mar

According to figures from the Statistical Service Cystat, the industrial output price index reached 124.0 (base 2000=100) in March, a rise of 0.3% over the previous month and 3.1% compared with March 2006.

For the first three months of the year, the index increased by 2.9% compared with January-March 2006, down from the 4.3% recorded for the whole of 2006.

Prices for the local market (2.8%) rose faster than for the export market (2%) in the first quarter.

For Manufacturing, the Index for March 2007 reached 125.4 units, recording an increase of 3.7% compared with March 2006.
