Omirou reelected EDEK leader

Social Democrats Movement EDEK President Yiannakis Omirou and Deputy President Kyriakos Mavronicolas were reelected Sunday during the party’s 11th Congress.
Omirou and Mavronicolas were elected unopposed.
Marinos Sizopoulos was elected A’ Vice President. Sophoclis Sophocleous who was also candidate for the two posts of the Vice Presidents said he was not interested in running for the post of the A’ Vice President and was elected B’ Vice President.
The Congress will also elect the 87 members of EDEK new Central Committee.
