Cyprus imports up 8.6%, exports down 10.4% in Jan-Nov

The Statistical Service of Cyprus has announced that it has published the monthly report “Intra-Extra E.U Trade Statistics (Summarised Data)” for November 2006.

Total imports/arrivals (covering total imports from third countries and arrivals from other Member States) in January-November 2006 rose by 8.6% to CYP 2,925.9 mln compared with CYP 2,693.5 mln in January-November 2005.

Total exports/dispatches (covering total exports to third countries and dispatches to other Member States) in January-November 2006 fell by 10.4% to CYP 593.0 mln compared with CYP 662.2 mln in January-November 2005.

The trade deficit rose by 14.8% to CYP 2,332.8 mln in January-November 2006 compared with CYP 2,031.3 mln in January-November 2005.

During November 2006 alone, total imports/arrivals (covering total imports from third countries and arrivals from other Member States) valued at CYP 277.0 mln.

Total exports/dispatches (covering total exports to third countries and dispatches to other Member States), including stores and provisions, in November 2006 amounted to CYP 59.6 mln.

Εxports/dispatches of domestically produced goods, including stores and provisions. were CYP 28.4 mln and exports/dispatches of foreign goods, including stores and provisions. CYP 31.1 mln.
