Five Cyprus golf licenses awarded

The special Golf Court Committee has granted five licenses for the development of golf courts in Cyprus. The five winners are,

– one license to Shacolas Group Ltd (at Polis Chrysochous)

– two licenses to Aristo Developers Pcl (at Ha Potami)

– two licenses to Lanitis development Pcl (at Fassouri, Petra tu Romiou)

The five applications for golf permits were granted after the applicants suggested the

construction of private desalination units to cover the needs of high water demand for golf courses. The construction of the golf courts is expected to commence following the approval of the Town Planning Department in 18 months’ time.
