— Named ZDNet Asia Top Tech 50 Vendor

Brother International has been awarded a top vendor position in the ‘Systems’ category of the second ZDNet Asia Top Tech Index 2006/2007, in recognition of its financial performance that saw the information and communication technology company achieve an all-time high of US$2.23 bln in revenue in 6 months ending September 30, 2006.

Brother’s focus on bringing cost-effective products and innovative technologies into the market as part of its ‘customer-first’ approach also saw the global major being declared the ‘Windows Magazine Best Business MFD Winner’ and bagging the ‘Best Business Printer Award’ during the recently concluded IT trade fair, GITEX Dubai 2006.

The ZDNet Asia Top Tech Index chose 50 leading industry players on the basis of their financial performance, proven track record and commitment to the Asian market, following an evaluation of more than 100 companies operating across 10 countries. Brother’s financial performance saw an average year-on-year increase of 13.94% and 5.15% for its revenue and net income respectively over the last four years, helping it bag the heavily contested award.
