All three British Airways Boeing 767s removed from service last week following the discovery of low traces of a radioactive substance has been given the all clear by UK government agencies, an announcement said Monday.

Two of the aircraft that operated the London Heathrow to Larnaca return flights were given the all clear on Friday, but the Health Protection Agency (HPA) in London said it does not believe that passengers were at risk over the past month.

The UK government advised British Airways last Tuesday evening that the aircraft were part of the police investigation into the death of Alexander Litvinenko who was exposed to the deadly Polonium-210.

The airline took more than 7,500 calls from customers on its special helpline which remained open for UK and international calls.
