BP East Med holds ship shore safety seminar in Cyprus

BP East Mediterranean hosted a regional seminar on safety issues in Cyprus recently that dealt with safety during loading and unloading on to crude tankers and onshore facilities.

The three-day seminar, attended by staff from all energy sector companies active in Cyprus, as well as BP Greece, was presented by trainers from BP Shipping who specialize in safety inspections of storage sites, tanker ships, loading and unloading infrastructure, as well as marine transport.

Participants also followed an analysis of the causes of various accidents in the energy sector and their repercussion on the environment.

The seminar also dealt with the Ship Shore Safety Checklist and communications.
