Too much noise over hospital move

The new Nicosia hospital is finally ready to be operational after years of waiting and delays and the present government blaming their predecessors for the “scandal” as they called it. Whatever happened to the investigation into the scandal? Was it shelved? Was there a scandal after all?

What I cannot understand is why we need 10 days (7 of which are union-approved work-week days) to make the noisy move across town, with ambulances screaming up and down Makarios Ave., often causing a traffic hazard and a danger to other motorists?

I remember when about a decade ago the old Munich airport was moved literally overnight to its new location. Is our hospital ten times bigger than Munich airport?
