EastNets, the leading payments and security solutions provider for the public and financial service sectors in the Middle East, has signed its 100th customer on the EastNets Service Bureau (ENSB).

ENSB is a comprehensive outsourcing platform established at a secure data centre in the Dubai Technology and Media Free Zone, delivering solutions to banks and financial organisations throughout the Middle East, North Africa, the Balkans, Pakistan, and Afghanistan.

EastNets said it looks forward to exceeding the company’s target of bringing 120 customers on the ENSB by the end of 2006 and making the expertise of SWIFT, Microsoft, Cisco and UNIX certified engineers available to an increasing number of banking, government and financial services organisations.

The platform also has a full resilient Disaster Recovery (DR) back-up solution providing a flexible and safe data centre to banking, financial and government sector organisations in Bahrain and Turkey. The solution allows banks to provide undisrupted services and secure their vital data through alternative information back-up centres and timely disaster recovery.

Given the stability of the Service Bureau and the needs of the regional market, EastNets plans to add another two services starting from the first quarter of 2007, offering centralised bank reconciliation and anti-money laundering (AML) solutions to its customers. This is expected to further enhance the productivity and efficiency of banks and other financial institutions.

ENSB services range from SWIFT DR connectivity hosting to the fully managed service (FMS). The Bureau operation is monitored 24×7 and supported by a customer service operation to address clients across the extended regions during their functioning hours.

Founded in 1984, EastNets is a leading Payments and Security Solution Provider for the government and financial service industry. As a recognized market leader, the company is strategically positioned with offices across the Middle East providing products and services either directly to customers, or on a hosted basis through the EastNets Service Bureau (ENSB). EastNets is strategically positioned in five major markets with offices and presence in the United Arab Emirates, Jordan, Turkey, Bahrain, Egypt and Iraq to provide products and services either directly to customers, or on an outsourced basis through ENSB.
