Telecoms turnover up 5.6% in H1

The Statistical Service had announced the turnover indices for various branches of transport by activity for January-June 2006.

The main developments by activity for the period of January-June 2006 were as follows.

The Telecommunication turnover value increased by 5.6% compared to the corresponding period of 2005.

The Land Transport activity decreased by 3.5% compared to the corresponding period of 2005.

The Water Transport turnover value decreased by 17.6% in the first semester of 2006 compared to the corresponding semester of 2005.

Air Transport increased by 5.7%.
