Cyprus EPEY become ATHEX members

Five Cyprus Financial Services Companies (EPEY) have been accepted as remote members of the Athens Stock Exchange ahead of the launch of the Common Trading Platform.

According to an official announcement by the ATHEX, the five Cyprus firms are Hellenic Bank Investments, Atlantic Securities, CLR Securities & Financial Services, Mega Equity and Sharelink Securities.

ATHEX extends trading hours

The Athens Stock Exchange meanwhile announced that it will extend trading hours in order to bring the Greek capital market working session closer to those of other European centres. The session will now start at 10:30am (Athens time) instead of 11:30am. Regarding mid and small cap category, the morning session will be also extended from 10:30 to 12:00 from 11:30 to 12:30 previously. Trading in this category will resume at 2 pm, ending at 4:30pm. The new trading hours will be effective as of Monday October 2, 2006.
