Papadopoulou to head HFC

Antigoni Papadopoulou (DIKO) will be the new Chairwoman of the House Finance Committee replacing fellow DIKO backbencher Aristos Chrysostomou who failed to get elected to the House.

The Deputy Chairman of the powerful HFC will be another DIKO newcomer, Nicholas Papadopoulos, replacing fellow DIKO MP Zacharias Koulias who will take up the Chairmanship of the House Communications Committee, replacing outgoing DIKO MP Pitokopitis who also failed to get elected.

The other members of the HFC are. From AKEL, Stavros Evagorou, Yiannos Lamaris, Dinos Hadjinicolas and Sotiroula Charalambous. From DISY, Maria Kyriakou, Lefteris Christoforou and Ionas Nicolaou. From DIKO in addition to Papadopoulou and Papadopoulos, Athena Kyriakidou. From EDEK, Marinos Sizopoulos and George Varnavas and Evroko will be represented by Rikkos Erotokritos.
