Wholesale trade up 9.7%, motor repairs down 4.7%

According to the latest figures from the Statistical Service CYSTAT, the Turnover Value Index of Wholesale Trade and Commission Trade for December 2005 increased by 14.4 units or 9.7% to 162.9 units compared to 148.5 in November 2005.

For period January-December 2005 the Index recorded an increase of 4.7% compared to the corresponding period of 2004.

Meanwhile, the Turnover Value Index of Sale and Repair of Motor Vehicles and Retail Sale of Automotive Fuel, December 2005 decreased by 7.3 units or 4.7% to 148.9 units compared to 156.2 in November 2005.

For period January-December 2005 the Index recorded an increase of 0.3% compared to the corresponding period of 2004.
