28 charges against Andronicou

Yiannos and Rea Andronicou of the Suphire Group face 28 counts of charges with respect to the misappropriation of the CYP 4.88 mln in funds of the EAC Staff Provident Fund with the court hearing date set for September 29.

The couple face 28 charges of false presentation of documents, theft of money and forgery. The Andronicou pair were released on CYP 50.000 bail, ordered to hand in their passports and placed on exit stop-loss to prevent them from departing from the island.

The main charge refers to the theft of CYP 4.888.150 from the EAC Provident Fund during the period November 2003 until March 15 2005, forgery of documents, falsifying documents and others.
