Singapore — Motorola, Inc. received two outstanding accolades at the Asian MobileNews Awards 2005 ceremony: the Best Mobile Phone Design and beat five other competitors to clinch the most prestigious Mobile Phone of the Year Award.

The Motorola RAZR V3 is a classic example of the rectangle silhouette which features design that centers on chiseled, super-thin, targeted, defined looks. Its distinctive silhouette has been designed to give the product character and personality, and the stark contrast in shape creates intrigue and evokes an emotional response from consumers.

“Motorola’s design mission of ‘Purity with Purpose’ aims to stay true to the design form and yet not compromise on functionality,” said Allen Burnes, VP, Mobile Devices, High Growth Markets, Motorola. Riding on the success of RAZR V3, Motorola has since launched the RAZR V3 Special Edition Black, a strong iconic mobile device that underscore the design ethos of the brand. Additionally, Motorola plans to launch the new SLVR V8, PEBL V6 and RAZR V3, inspirational handsets that are expected to win over a new legion of Motorola fans.

Independent and democratic, a Mobie (as the Asian MobileNews Award is affectionately called) is the only accolade that credits outstanding companies and individuals and is peer-selected.

The Motorola RAZR V3 has won numerous awards worldwide in recognition for its break-though design, such as the Most Innovative Product in the United Kingdom’s mobile phone industry’s most prestigious award show – Mobile News Awards 2005.
