CSE revamps FTSE/CySE 20 index

The CSE Council announced the new composition of the FTSE/CySE 20 large cap index, which was made on May 16 by the Advisory Committee with the participation of a representative of the FTSE Group. The Advisory Committee reviewed the operation of the index for the six month period between October 2004 until March 31, 2005.

The figures for the dispersion of the share capital of the listed companies are based on data signed by the Board of Directors of the listed companies. In the event that the data are not true or accurate, then the CSE reserves the right to adjust the index. The revised index will be effective as from June 1, 2005.

The Advisory Committee also decided to adopt the proposal concerning the introduction of the Reserve List, which contains the next five selectable and largest capitalisation shares that were not included in the index during the date of the evaluation.
