The Statistical Service of Cyprus announces that it has published the monthly report “Intra-Extra EU Trade Statistics (Summarised Data)” for November 2004.

The main developments in Cyprus foreign trade were:

Total imports/arrivals (covering total imports from third countries and arrivals from other Member States) in January-November 2004 amounted to CYP 2,415.4 mln as compared to CYP 2,095.0 mln in January-November 2003. Total exports/dispatches (covering total exports to third countries and dispatches to other Member States) in January-November 2004 were CYP 500.5 mln compared to CYP 442.4 mln in the corresponding period of 2003. The trade deficit increased by 15.9% to CYP 1,914.9 mln in January-November 2004 compared to CYP 1,652.6 mln in the corresponding period of 2003.

During November 2004 total imports/arrivals (covering total imports from third countries and arrivals from other Member States) valued at CYP 256.8 mln.

Total exports/dispatches (covering total exports to third countries and dispatches to other Member States), including stores and provisions, in November 2004 amounted to CYP 52.7 mln. exports/dispatches of domestically produced goods, including stores and provisions, were CYP 26.0 mln and exports/dispatches of foreign goods, including stores and provisions, CYP 26.8 mln.
