Health Minister Andreas Gavrielides had a meeting on Wednesday with Lebanon’s Ambassador to Cyprus, Michel El Khoury, and both men agreed to proceed with the implementation of an existing cooperation protocol in the fields of public health and medical science.

During the meeting Gavrielides also mentioned the problems arising from the lack of professional nursing staff on the island and suggested finding ways to employ nurses from Lebanon.

The Ambassador said that this could be achieved and would gladly help Cyprus overcome this problem.
