The mouse that travels metres

Trust has introduced two new 800 DPI wireless Bluetooth mice, one of which has a universal Bluetooth USB hub/adapter and can be used up to 10 metres away from a computer very comfortably thanks to the rubber grip.

As a result, the 5-button MI-5500X Bluetooth Optical Mouse can operate a computer in combination with, for example, a Media Center PC or when giving a presentation. The large distance is achieved by the wireless Bluetooth Class II technology, which makes a connection between the receiver and the mouse without interference from other devices. The rubber top layer ensures that the user has a good grip and, thanks to the unique design, this mouse is part of the new line of exclusive Trust mice.

By connecting the universal Bluetooth USB hub/adapter to a computer, the computer is upgraded with Bluetooth technology. It will then be possible to easily create a wireless connection with the Bluetooth mouse or any other Bluetooth compatible device. The optical sensor technology, with a resolution of 800 DPI, guarantees accurate registration of any movements and a low use of the battery power. When the battery power becomes too low, the scroll wheel is lit so that the user knows that the mouse must be placed in the cradle to recharge the batteries. The batteries are also recharged when the computer is turned off.

Trust also introduced the MI-5400X Bluetooth Optical Mouse, which is the same as the previous mouse, except that it does not include the USB hub/adapter.

Both are fully Windows Plug & Play compatible and also compatible with the 5-button Microsoft Mouse, IntelliMouse and Windows 2000. They come supplied with a cradle, a power adapter for the cradle, two rechargeable AA NiMH batteries, a CD-ROM containing drivers and software for configuring the buttons and the scroll wheel, and a multi-language instruction manual. Both will be available from the end of March.

The recommended retail price, including VAT, for the MI-5500X is 56,93 euros and for the MI-5400X, 37,93 euros.
