Cyprus may tap the domestic bond market by issuing a rare 15-year bond in mid-April, but has no immediate plans to issue longer-term bonds, a finance ministry source told Reuters.

The finance ministry is contemplating a 15-year bond aiming to raise CYP 50 mln around April 18.

The yield on the last 15-year bond issue in June 2004, which was undersubscribed, was 7.05%, but since then bond yields have declined sharply.
