Polish President to pay official visit to Cyprus

Polish President Aleksander Kwasniewski will pay an official visit to Cyprus between 16 – 17 March, Government Spokesman Kypros Chrysostomides announced today.

He said an official welcoming ceremony will be held at the Presidential Palace on 17 March followed by a meeting between Cyprus President Tassos Papadopoulos and Kwasniewski.

Official talks will then take place between delegations from the two countries. Kwasniewski will attend a lunch hosted in his honour by President Papadopoulos.

Before wrapping up his visit, the Polish President will give a lecture on “Cyprus-Poland in a united Europe” at the University of Cyprus.
