Equity prices stage a rebound

Equity prices stabilised on the Cyprus Stock Exchange and staged a 1.4% rebound on Tuesday, with the GENX closing 1.41% firmer at 84.42 points, and the Main/Parallel ending 1.43% higher at 1179.10 points.

Total volume amounted to CYP 740.000 on 1465 trades, according to AGFN, the CSE data provider, with 56 titles closing higher, 93 unchanged and 26 closing lower.

Bank of Cyprus was the most active, closing 1.7% up at CYP 1.81, while the Bank’s shares closed 1.2% higher at EUR 3.16 or CYP 1.8460 on the ASE on 690.000 shares volume.

Laiki Bank (CPB) was the second most active, up 0.78% at CYP 1.29, followed by CLL, down 3.7% at 0.051, SFS up 5.8% at 7.3 cent and Hellenic Bank down 0.27% at 37.1 cent. LUI ended up 3.14% at 19.7 cent.
