Inflation rate 2.8% in Cyprus for January 2005

The inflation rate in Cyprus for January 2005 was 2.8%, according to figures provided by the Statistical Service. A press release says that the Harmonised Index of Consumer Prices during January 2005 recorded an increase of 2.8%, compared to the corresponding index of January 2004, while in January 2004 the annual rate of change was 1.6%.

As compared to the index of December 2004, the Harmonised Index of Consumer Prices dropped by 2.9 units, from 127.7 to 124.8, recording a decrease of 2.3%.
