SFS sells stake in Athena to Hellenic

SFS Group Public Company Ltd (SFS) and Hellenic Bank Public Company Ltd (HB) announced that after SFS’s decision to recall its public offer for 50% plus 1 share of Athena Cyprus Public Company Ltd (ATH) issued share capital, they have come to an agreement according to which SFS will dispose its entire stake in ATH (21.5m shares) to HB at the offer price of CYP0.361/share (EUR0.62/share) or for a total amount of CYP7.7 mln in cash. This represents the net asset value of Athena as at 31 March 2007, which amounted to CYP0.4075 (EUR0.7017), excluding the dividend of CYP0.0275, minus a discount of 5%. According to the announcement, the above transaction will be completed by 31st May 2007.
