Cyprus to join Madrid Convention for trans-frontier cooperation

The Council of Ministers, under President of the Republic Tassos Papadopoulos, has approved draft legislation for Cyprus’ accession to the Madrid Convention and the additional protocols for trans-frontier cooperation between territorial communities or authorities and for trans-frontier cooperation between territorial communities or authorities concerning inter-territorial cooperation.
The Cabinet has authorised the Minister of the Interior to submit the draft legislation to the House of Representatives for voting.
