Mindware, a leading IT distributor in the Middle East and North Africa, announced that it recorded revenues of USD 190 mln in 2006 as a result of increased focus on reseller education and new vendor appointment. Putting a premium aim to understanding the complex needs of its clients and business partners, Mindware will leverage a whole suite of value-added services on top of its extensive distribution network to boost the market reach of its clients and sustain Mindware’s increasing profits.

“Mindware has developed initiatives that provide our resellers with training, technical support and various ancillary activities in sales and marketing, which allow them to better handle our various products. Empowering our partners through such initiatives gives us a strong foundation for our sales network, and provides a deeper and more extensive market reach to the global brands we distribute,” said Thierry Chamayou, Deputy General Manager of Mindware.

Mindware, which added Kingston, Quantum and Wyse Technology to its portfolio of leading global brands that reach over 4,500 resellers throughout the MENA region, has broadened its service package through the Value Added Distribution (VAD) concept, which integrates a whole range of networked services, such as pre-sales consultancy, marketing, service implementation and after-sales support, into a one-stop technology advisor for resellers.

“We maintain a highly proactive approach to our business, looking out for whatever or wherever we can improve on every aspect of our services. This way, we are able to develop new strategies such as the VAD concept, which boost our clients’ profitability by facilitating penetration into specific market segments,” said Jacques Chammas, Managing Director of Mindware.

The company is in the process of moving to Dubai’s Jebel Ali Free Zone, which will give it more leverage to serve its resellers better. Operating from a free zone will eliminate trade license requirement and will allow Mindware to provide its resellers a more robust backbone for support operations through a new fully transparent ERP system.

With a network that covers the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Bahrain, Lebanon, Jordan, Egypt, Cyprus and North Africa, Mindware boasts an extensive portfolio that includes leading global IT companies.
