Industrial turnover up 6.9% Jan-Nov

Industrial turnover, covering the  mining and quarrying, manufacturing, and electricity, gas and water supply sectors, reached 133.8 (Base 2000=100) in November 2006, recording an increase of 5.2% compared to November 2005.

For the period January-November 2006 the index recorded an increase of 6.9% over the same period of 2005.

This compares with industrial output of only 1.0% in the same period.

For manufacturing, the index for November 2006 reached 133.1 units, recording an increase of 6.2% compared to November 2005.
