Cyprus calls CYP 300 mln bond auctions

The Central Bank of Cyprus has called for multiple bond auctions on February 13, 2007 where a total of CYP 300 mln or EUR 517 mln in 2, 5 and 10 year bonds as well as 13-week maturity Treasury Bills will be auctioned off.

The Central Bank acting on behalf of the government said the 2-year auction refers to the 3.75% bonds with date of issue 15 February 2007 and repayment at par in two years for a total of CYP 50 mln. The 5-year bond auction will be up to CYP 150 mln while the 10-year bond auction on the same date will be for CYP 50 mln of bonds on offer.

The Central Bank also plans to offer by auction on a bid-price basis of up to CYP50 mln Treasury Bills with date of issue 14.2.2007 and 13 weeks maturity.
Bids on the prescribed form will be accepted from 9.2.2007 and not later than 9:00 a.m. on 13.2.2007. Copies of the Announcement on the auction procedures can be obtained from the Securities Section of the Central Bank of Cyprus.
