Effects of globalization on Europe

The European Commission delegation in Cyprus and the office of the European Parliament are organising an open discussion with civil society in Limassol on Thursday, October 5, at pm, where the main topic will be “Globalisation and how we deal with the effects in Europe.”

The event is being organised in cooperation with the Limassol Chamber of Commerce (EVEL) and will be held at the Chamber’s office on 170 Franklin Roosevelt Ave., opposite the Nemitsas factory.

The whole event falls within the framework of Plan D (democracy, dialogue, debate) to get the feedback and opinions of civil society.

The event will start with an address by European Commission Head of Delegation Themis Themistocleous and European Parliament Office Director Tasos Georgiou, introduction from the Limassol Chamber, followed by a speech on the economic aspects of globalisation by former minister Dinos Kittis and a member of the “Team Europe ”, and former ambassador Michalis Attalides, Dean at Intercollege and also a member of “Team Europe”.

A discussion will follow.
